Challenger Deep
So before some of you go wondering what the significance of 35,839 feet is, I direct you to the Wikipedia article on the Challenger Deep! The lowest measured point on earth (below sea level) is located in the southern end of the Mariana Trench. The pressure at the bottom is about 1,095 times that what we deal with on the surface, which is enough to crush most ponies. Certainly, every pony they have thrown in the trench has been crushed at that depth. Did you know that ponies are the standard tool used to measure atmospheric pressure, not just in the ocean deeps, but on other planets? You can read it all HERE!
