a webcomic

CIRCLE VERSUS SQUARE. WOW. It had a good run there. I'm proud of this work. I realized a few weeks ago that it even informs my latest project "GoatVsFish." It's a live performance. I'M A COMEDIAN NOW! I like to say "comedic performance artist." Anyway, how I didn't see the connection with "VS" is pretty obvious in hindsight. Anyway, I've got plans for Circle Versus Square, but it'll take a while. No holding your breath. In the meantime, see my shenanigans on Instagram and Twitter and even on Facebook. Also, there's "The Joy of Drinking" on YouTube where I drink alcohol and do oil paintings with Bob Ross!

The Goings-On
Road Runner and Coyote
While designing the "X" in this comic I thought back to the old Road Runner and Coyote cartoons. Can't get enough of 'em! But I watched over a dozen or so and I couldn't find a good example of the Road Runner standing on an X. Funny, I remember it being so common, but guess it was just my imagination.
Apparently, the Road Runner and Coyote shorts were supposed to parody the "cat and mouse" cartoons of the day. They parodied them by exaggerating the violence and shifting the sympathy of the audience from the prey (Road Runner) to the predator (Coyote). Also, the Road Runner was designed to be difficult to relate to by having him run around aimlessly for no apparent purpose.
